Antinous

Antinous — the most dangerous of the suitors, the most arrogant, the most handsome.

He plots to kill Telemachus, drinks Odysseus's wine, and mistakes patience for weakness. He is the first to die.

The boar's head is the emblem of ferocity and greed.

In Homer, the boar left its mark on Odysseus in youth — the scar by which he is finally recognised when he comes home. Antinous bears the boar on his shield. He does not see the irony. He never does.
